San Diego Comic Con 2008: Tite Kubo aftermath.

Tite Kubo, creator of BLEACH and ZOMBIEPOWDER, was a special guest at San Diego Comic Con 2008. He showed up on Friday July 25th for the screening of the BLEACH: Memories nof Nobody movie and Saturday July 26th for Two autograph sessions with 100 people each and his panel. No pictures and film were taken as is the usual manner for seeing Japanese special guests.
Special Bleach Shikishi from Viz Booth, Signed By Tite Kubo.

I was able to be one of the lucky 200 people that were able to obtain the special shikishi and autograph ticket to get a personalized autograph from Tite Kubo himself. 50 Tickets were handed out everyday when exhibitors hall opened at 9:30AM Wednesday-Saturday when you purchase a bleach related item, first come first some. Everyday I went tickets and shikishis ran out in less than 15 minutes after opening time. It was quite tough.

Comic Con highly underestimated how popular Tite Kubo was. For the Bleach Panel, Kubo had a 500 person room for his panel, which the line of people was over 1000+ easily, the line coiled in the hall. Therefore I wasn’t able to attend the panel. Anime Diet and A geek by any other name has the full coverage on the panel luckily.

It felt very surreal and exciting to have met him and to have greeted him even though it was very momentary. He was very nice and had his signature glasses. Very awesome.
